Dr. Yusria Malik, MD, MPH, FACOG — board-certified OB-GYN expert witness

Dr. Yusria Malik, MD, MPH, FACOG is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with more than a decade of active clinical, surgical, and leadership experience in women’s healthcare. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of California, San Diego, her Master of Public Health in Healthcare Administration and Policy from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the UNLV Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine.

For eight years, Dr. Malik practiced full-time in a small rural community, providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in a region with limited access to subspecialty services. Her practice encompassed the full scope of general obstetrics and gynecology, including labor and delivery, high-risk and emergency obstetric care, gynecologic surgery, preventive care, and the management of complex conditions that might otherwise have required referral to distant specialists.

Dr. Malik currently practices full-time as an OB/GYN hospitalist, providing hospital-based obstetric and gynecologic care. Her work includes the evaluation and management of acute obstetric and gynecologic conditions, labor and delivery management, fetal assessment, emergency consultation, operative deliveries, cesarean delivery, and gynecologic surgical care.

Her clinical experience is complemented by training in healthcare systems, quality improvement, medical policy, and patient safety. She has also served on hospital peer review committees, evaluating physician performance, standards of care, clinical outcomes, and quality assurance.

Advancing Excellence in Women's Healthcare.

At OBGYN Peer, our mission is to advance excellence, accountability, and patient safety in women's healthcare through objective, evidence-based obstetric and gynecologic expertise. We support attorneys, healthcare organizations, medical staffs, peer review committees, risk management departments, and courts by providing independent analysis that promotes informed decision-making and a clear understanding of complex clinical issues.

Clarity, Accuracy, Defensibility.

Every case begins with a comprehensive review of the available medical records. We analyze the timeline of events, identify critical clinical decision points, evaluate adherence to accepted standards of care, and provide clear explanations of the medical issues at the center of the case.

Our reports are written with efficiency and effectiveness in mind — clear, concise, and accessible to those outside the specialty. Dr. Malik is adept at communicating both in writing and in person using language that is easy to understand by attorneys, jurors, judges, and any specialty sitting on a peer review committee. Nuanced clinical topics are presented in a way that informs without overwhelming, equipping decision-makers with exactly what they need.
